This is a spectacular trip to explore and learn about
the wonderful wildlife of Patagonia.
Two of the most beautiful places were chosen for this
itinerary. First, we´ll visit the pristine area
of Deseado river estuary (Ria Deseado),
the waters where Miguel Iñiguez
began his study of Commerson´s dolphins
in 1986. Ria Deseado is famous for its seabird colony
and beautiful landscapes.
Then we´ll travel to the north to the well-known
Peninsula Valdes where
we´ll watch a great biodiversity including penguins,
elephant seals, sea lions, whales and dolphins. The
trip coincides with the middle of the breeding season
for the whales and elephant seals. If we are lucky
we´ll see orcas, famous world-wide for their
unique hunting technique of beaching themselves in
order to catch sea lions and elephant seals.
On the final day, we´ll go to Trelew
to visit the most important Dinosaur museum of South
America which exhibits the creatures that lived in
this part of the world millions of years ago.
